Selected from documentation of ongoing, random play and disturbance in and around Gwithian, Cornwall fom 2007.
The concept for 'Organic Intervention' emerged from a conversation with my husband Andrew in 2007. We live on a small working farm near Cornwall's north coast, laid mostly to pasture. At present the fields support a small herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle a tiny flock of rare breed sheep, and a good deal of wildlife in part due to a non intensive agricultural practice.
As two producers; artist and farmer, we draw on our commonalities and differences to consider and extend our understandings of 'the farm' and its role in wider environmental and socio- cultural contexts.
