Ithell Says

Ithell Says is a short film produced from footage generated in 2013 during We Are Not Petrified :
a collaborative project with artist Ann Haycock, with invited guests poet Alyson Hallett, dancers Helen Musser and Tina Cockett, the Penzance Guizers, and the Turkey Rhubard Guize Band.
We invited the late Ithell Colqhoun 1906 - 1988, who described herself as a 'poet of words and images' and had a strong interest in the occult,
to join us.

A link to this film is now also on the Penlee Gallery website beside the information about the Ithell Coqhoun exhibition
Ithell Colquhoun: Image and Imagination which runs from 16 January - 19 March 2016.

Ithell Colquoun's painting Potentate II, featured in this film, is included in the Penlee exhibition......

'the first exhibition in a public gallery since her death, shows an intriguing selection of pictures spanning her six decade artistic career,
with particular emphasis on her work on the human in nature.'
